Women should have a mammogram every two years starting at age 50, according to an expert panel’s new breast cancer screening guidelines.
Breast tenderness is normal during pregnancy, but hard lumps are not. And, even though breast cancer during pregnancy is rare, you still need to be vigilant—doing routine breast self-exams and reporting anything suspicious to your doctor immediately.
